Hi Khaled,
I'm a FLOSS guy who reads planet.arabeyes.org. I used google's translation service to read the
website that you mention. It seems to say something about students at a university being
detained over a student election, election fraud and something about the muslim brotherhood. Is this a
government attempt to stop free elections and free political expression at a University?
Cheers,
Kev

yup, politics are forbidden in Egyptian Universities. Those guys, few University stuff and 180 students, were retained for being members of Muslim Brotherhood who started some sort of "free" election for a "free" student union as compared to the official one witch is controled by University's security.

Hi,
thanks for the info. I just used the might google to read the news.google.com headlines of today[0] and that story is updated here[1]. But its only a 'story' on the 'arab' version, not the 'english'. It seems the goverment consider them to be a 'threat' to the state and are to be re-arrested even though they were to be released.
